Great mouse, for specific hands.
I salute Razer for a courageous design and excellent Windows driver and software support; this mouse will not suit everyone. I'll list the design features, then discuss how those translated into mouse behavior for me.The TRON mouse is much smaller than I anticipated from pictures and videos, and feels much lighter than other mice I've used. While part of the lack of width comes from the "cutaway" sides (a great feature to increase the comfort of using the side buttons), it took my large hands some time to adjust to this diminuitive mouse. I used the mouse on a wooden desk with no mousepad, and the mouse glides more smoothly (and precisely) than any I used in the past -- a real joy. The extremely long, braided cord never got in the way of my gaming.The mouse sports two side buttons on both sides, the primary reason I bought this mouse. One of the best gaming mice on the market
The very in-depth review from Bwappo says pretty much all you need to know, I just would like to add one important thing about this mouse.- I have small hands with long, lanky fingers and for my grip style, this mouse is dead perfect. I can see how someone with large hands could have some comfort issues like Bwappo did, but if you don't fall in that category, I do believe this is the mouse for you.some quick bullet points- 5600 dpi, insane, i can never go back. (my previous was 1800 dpi)- To reinforce what Bwappo said, software is the best mouse software I've ever experienced.- Perfect small - medium hand size claw grip.- Ambidextrous design. Been super great, but beware for Windows 8.
I've had this for about 3 months. It is my first gaming mouse, so the change from a $10 generic mouse was huge. The feel to it is just what I've wanted in a mouse, though it can be uncomfortable/too small for a lot of people due to it's form factor. I mostly play League of Legends and the 4 side buttons have been super useful. Everything has been working fine until I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro. Razor software won't recognize my mouse (Windows does still), but I can't access button and DPI settings. It worked fine in the the release preview. I don't know if this is directly a Windows 8 problem, or just something in my system, so just a warning if you are/planning to upgrade.EDIT (11/2/12): Confirmed by Razer, not compatible with Windows 8 at the moment. No ETA or anything.
