You can test left click, right click, middle click (scroll wheel press), and most side buttons (back and forward). Browser support for side buttons varies by device and OS.
+ - Why does nothing light up when I click?
Make sure this browser tab is focused. Click once anywhere on the page first, then try each button again. Some site overlays or extensions can also block mouse events.
+ - What do the colors mean?
A bright highlight means the button is pressed right now. A softer highlight means that button or scroll direction has already been tested during this session.
+ - Can I test the scroll wheel?
Yes. Scroll up and down while the page is focused. The arrows next to the wheel light up for each direction and stay marked once tested.
+ - Does this diagnose a broken mouse?
It is a quick hardware check, not a full diagnostic. If a button never lights up here but works in other apps, the browser may be blocking it. If it fails everywhere, the switch or sensor may be faulty.
